Exploring Creativity and Spirituality

What a rewarding weekend. We had a very interesting time at the Higher Truth of Health Conference here in Taos. The talks ranged in topics from nuts and bolts nutritional information on the benefits of gluten free living to the link between reclaiming the divine feminine and health. In our hour on Sunday morning we explored Creativity and Spiritual Health. Members of the audience responded in profound ways.

Barbara Maddox, a DOM from Albuquerque said her creativity expresses itself through her medical practice, Kathy a massage therapist in Taos linked healthy spiritual foundation to self esteem, and went on to discover that creativity is, for her, the meeting place of Passion and Imagination. Another attendee from Washington state responded to our question What is Creativity by saying that it is a means of ever deepening her awareness of what she knows and what she doesn’t know she knows.

Each time we ask the question “Is creative expression important?” we receive different answers. One of my favorites is “Creative expression is important because it shows that we are not all the same.” I love this simple, direct affirmation of why we all need to express ourselves creatively. Bearing witness to each others creative expression enables us to reflect upon the unique qualities inherent in each person and celebrate them beyond gender, ethnicity, political or sexual persuasion. We are seen fully present in our journey to truth.

We hope you will join us in these discussions online and hopefully in person at one of the upcoming events.
